Spray-Foam is used in conjunction with special framing needs when a SIP’s panel is not practical. Spray-foam is a messy job but quite effective in those irregular spots. It is safe and very energy efficient;
plus, I like the moon suit!

SIP’s were mentioned as exterior walls, but they are also designed for the roof structure.  Usually, the SIP’s panels for the roof are thicker than wall panels  and can provide much greater strength than conventional roof framing plus high performance insulation, making the attic room temperature.

       Remember: fewer joints-stronger building!

Here’s a product that fascinated me from the beginning. I found it in Canada and it’s finally available in the U.S.A.  These pictures are not a trick, they are true.  The durable product comes from the industrial construction industry.  I used this easy to install insulation in my own home around the mechanical room and kitchen.  It’s R-value is higher per inch than the pink stuff, but more important; it will not allow fire to spread through it, and cannot absorb moisture; protecting your home from fire, water and outside temps.

The manufacturer also offers a sound barrier that I also used around my recording studio and all bathrooms.

               It’s amazing and all natural!
