These energy saving wonders are so cool especially if you never got over legos.  These forms come in large simple blocks that stack and lock together.  As a permanent concrete form, they providing 2” thick dense, rigid insulation on both sides of the wall.  Steel rebar is inserted as the blocks are stacked.  Simply pour concrete down the center.  If done right, these work beautifully; frost can’t get in and heat can’t get out... an excellent thermal barrier.

The black plastic strips provide temporary support till the concrete dries, and then serve as anchor points for attaching drywall to the interior and siding to the exterior.

These forms are sometimes used as the entire exterior wall up to the eave.  This is quite costly, but in very treacherous climates (hurricanes) they are the best design for survival.

Kids love to help assemble these forms, because of the similarity to Lego. It’s quick, fun and energy efficient.
